Everyone wants to increase their CTR (Click- Through Rate), because, The more people click on ads, the more you earn. The logic is quiet simple. Have you got accepted by Google Adsense? If yes, then are you earning more money? If the answer is no then here I present some really effective tips to increase your CTR.

  • Always put ads on content-rich pages. Make sure that your website or blog has high paying keywords. But do not rush through the content, remember, the purpose of your site is not Adsense.
  • Avoid getting PSA's (Public Service Ad), and remember the titles and META Tags. Just focus on the specific topic of your blog. Do not place multiple ads units on one page.
  • Avoid titles like "Sponsored Links" and "Ads" at the top of your ads: Google already places the record "Ads by Google" below every adds.
  • Use section targeting, which can target an ad unit to a particular part of your page.

Keep Ads in effective places

  • Usually you should place the ads in the upper parts of pages since visitors do not have to scroll to see them. More the easily visible adds, the more likely to increase the CTR.
  • Provide space around ads. Make sure that they are visible. Do not clutter the ads into the content.
  • Test different add positions, you can easily track your ads. You can also place adds into contents because sometimes unusual positions can work to increase CTR. You will eventually find your ideal configuration.
  • Many experienced users of Google Adsense use largest vertical adds on their pages , But remember that everything depends on the structure of your pages.
  • It is always advisable to place the ads at the right side of your pages, because Internet users tend to use the mouse to scroll down using the bar on the right. Therefore, they are more likely to see ads and click. But many say they have doubled their CTR by placing ads on the left, because of their tendency to read from left to right. It seems crazy but it works!
  • Several sites contain ads in the upper right. Some argue that this is the first location visible to the visitor.

Even color of links effect CTR
Consistently, you should maintain the color of ads with the colors of the site, I mean to say that, Ads must be part of your site. They should not appear, graphically-irrelevant. You can replace your fonts with those ads on your site for more perfection. But, but do not try to hide the record "Ads by Google" using a background with the same color because it is against Google TOS (Google does not like hidden text). Sometimes a dark, color or a background image can lead to good CTR. I repeat, it all depends on your design. Experiment with different colors, backgrounds and positions, You may find what works for your site.

I hope these tips will help you double or even triple your CTR. Because sometimes a small change can produce stunning results. Good luck!!
